Difference between kids in homes with or without guns

Police officers in Texas conducted an experiment to see how children raised in a home with guns reacted to finding a firearm without supervision. Officers released a handful of elementary school children into a conference room with a realistic “fake” gun that could not be fired.

The officers and parents watched the scene through a two way mirror. One child found the handgun within 15 seconds and began passing it around to other children who aimed it at each other and attempted to shoot it. The only children who did not handle the weapon were those reared in a home with weapons and parents who taught firearm safety.
