Georgia homeowner holds burglary suspect at gunpoint until law enforcement arrives

In Georgia, a homeowner took action against a burglary suspect accused of multiple car break-ins. The Towns County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of vehicle break-ins at a residence on Gumlog Road. Upon arrival, they identified the suspects as Hunter Adams, 18, and Travis Foskey, 21.

Shortly after, another call came in from a homeowner in the same area, stating that she had caught a suspect, later identified as Adams, inside her house while holding him at gunpoint. The woman had returned home to find the suspect wearing her husband's clothing. The investigation revealed that the suspect had forcibly entered the residence.

When deputies arrived, Adams attempted to flee but was apprehended and taken into custody. He was charged with felony burglary and 20 counts of felony entering an automobile. The second suspect, Foskey, was identified and arrested the next day. He also faced charges of felony burglary and 20 counts of felony entering an automobile.

The sheriff's office praised the homeowner for her swift actions in apprehending the suspect and commended the deputies and investigators for their quick response and arrest of the suspects. The sheriff emphasized that such criminal activities are not common in Towns County.
