Gun Control should be outlawed

Yes, we know, it already is outlawed in the Bill of Rights. But spend ten minutes and enjoy the following video that shows why it's true.

When seconds count, the police are minutes away

This is a story we hear over and over. Guns are not allowed in the workplace mentioned in this video. That kept guns out of the hands of everyone who is willing to follow the rules. In other words, the rule was 100% ineffective.

Where do statistics come from?

WFAA in Dallas reports

<blockquote>"DALLAS - A 14-year-old girl died Friday afternoon after she was shot at a home in the 2400 block of Britton Drive in Dallas.

After receiving a 911 call, authorities said they arrived at the residence to find five siblings - ages eight, 10, 13, and 15 - at the location. The victim was found shot in the back room of the house. The boy claimed a rifle hanging on the wall in the room fell to the ground, fatally shooting the teen.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital, where she later was pronounced dead.

Should Videotaping the Police Really Be a Crime?

Magazine (http://www.time.com) reports that Anthony Graber, a Maryland Air National Guard staff sergeant, faces up to 16 years in prison. His crime? N.H. police dept posts mug shots on Facebook

BOSCAWEN, N.H. — Some people who're getting face time on Facebook aren't happy about it.

The New Hampshire town of Boscawen is posting mug shots of people who've been arrested. Some of those whose alleged digressions have appeared on the social media website are crying foul.

Scott Hooper says his 17-year-old son is an honor student whose only blemish is an underage drinking charge that landed him on Facebook for all to see. The boy learned about it from friends. Another man called the police department to complain that his mug shot on the Web page cost him a job.

Woman 2, thugs 0 after home invasion

<blockquote>
<i>One gun isn't enough.</i>

That was what Linda Smith (a pseudonym) was thinking after two thugs broke into her Oklahoma apartment. One was holding a weapon (she initially thought it was a knife but it turned out to be a screwdriver) at her throat, and the other was pacing back and forth while holding her purse and demanding her money and valuables. She screamed, and was told if she screamed again, she'd be dead.

Nottingham NH restores rights to town employees

The town has no legal authority to ban any civil rights, whether town employee or not.

Supreme Court reads US Constitution

That may have been an oversimplification, of course. But the headline caption on the New York Times may have summarized it best.

<blockquote>"The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the Second Amendment, which forbids Congress from infringing the right to keep and bear arms, applies to state and local governments as well."

The Bill of Rights is a list of some of the things that the Federal Government is forbidden from doing.

It does not grant rights to us. We already have those rights.
